About the game

GRUBBLE TROUBLE is an underground arcade game. Dig your own tunnels through the dirt, then hold PUMP to inflate the Grubbles until they pop, or dig out under a boulder and drop it on them. Watch out for Ember Newts: they breathe fire down the tunnels. Clear every monster to clear the level.

There are 505 levels: the five originals plus ten packs of 50. On a phone you dig by swiping or with an on-screen D-pad. On PC it plays with the keyboard. Your progress and high score are saved as you play.

Gameplay

  • GRUBBLE TROUBLE level 5: the miner pumps up an Ember Newt in a tunnel while Grubbles roam nearby
  • GRUBBLE TROUBLE level 110: the miner inflates a Grubble just below the surface, above a row of boulders
  • GRUBBLE TROUBLE level 160: the miner pumps a Grubble from the bottom of a long shaft
  • GRUBBLE TROUBLE level 450: the miner inflates a Grubble beside a loop of tunnels with Ember Newts
  • GRUBBLE TROUBLE level 505, the last level: a Grubble swells as the miner pumps, with Ember Newts in the tunnels below
